Portland native Muriel Stanton is a singer/songwriter/acoustic guitarist that spins a sultry soul sound to the jazz, country, rock and funk tunes that she writes and covers.
Muriel Stanton started singing in the Portland Opera at the age of six. For the last three years she has been working on her own music project. A singer/songwriter/acoustic guitarist, she draws inspiration from Joan Osbourne, Patsy Cline, Prince, Stevie Wonder, Heart and many jazz and current pop artists.
Muriel puts a sultry soul spin on the jazz, country, rock and funk tunes that she writes and covers, occassionally backed by some of Portland's best jazz and funk artists on electrid guitar and bass, horns, drums, and keyboards.
